This or That: Batteries

This or That: Rechargeable battery vs. single use
Did you know that rechargeable batteries are not only better for the environment but also for your wallet? Rechargeables power a wide range of devices and can be used over and over again, saving you money in the long run.

To ensure the safe disposal of household batteries, it’s important to recycle them properly. Avoid placing them in your trash or recycling carts, as they can catch fire or explode. Instead, bring them to a Hazardous Waste Collection Facility.

In San Bernardino County, these facilities are run by the San Bernardino County Fire Department. Visit https://sbcfire.org/hhw or call 1.800.OILY.CAT to find a collection location near you.
