Regrow Veggies to Save Food Waste

Lettuce starts in small cups along a window You can regrow many veggies at home from kitchen scraps! Here are some easy ones to try:

Green Onions ๐ŸŒฑ – Place the white root ends in a glass of water and watch them regrow. Snip off new growth and use as needed or plant once roots are established.

Lettuce ๐Ÿฅฌ – Put the base in a shallow dish of water, and new leaves will start to sprout.

Celery ๐ŸŒฟ – Like lettuce, place the base in water and watch new stalks emerge.

Garlic ๐Ÿง„ – Plant a garlic clove with the pointed end up, and it will grow new garlic shoots.

Basil ๐ŸŒฟ – Place basil stems in water, and theyโ€™ll start to develop roots. Then, transfer them to soil.

Regrowing veggies is a great way to reduce food waste and enjoy fresh produce right from your kitchen! What veggies have you been able to regrow? ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒ
