Definition: Upcycle

When you repurpose an item to reuse it in a new and creative way, you are upcycling and expanding the lifespan of the item. Think creatively: an unusable pair of rubber boots become planters, old jeans become a patchwork skirt, and used pallets become coffee tables. Upcycling is a great way to reduce waste and make the most of what you already have. Before you toss it, or recycle it, think about how you can UPCYCLE and REUSE it!
