Before You Store It: Date It

Illustrations of food storage with dates on the container
By dating your food items, you can easily keep track of what needs to be used first, preventing waste and saving money. Plus, it’s a great way to stay organized in the kitchen!

First In, First Out (FIFO) is a simple but effective system for storing and rotating food. In FIFO, the food that has been in storage longest (“first in”) should be the next food used (“first out”). This method ensures that food is used before it goes bad.

Let’s all do our part to reduce food waste and make the most of what we have. Remember, FIFO is the way to go! 🍽️♻️
