Battery Fire Danger

Household batteries can catch fire or explode when placed in your trash or recycling barrels. A 2021 report from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reported that it found 245 battery-caused fires at 64 Materials Recovery Facilities it studied.
Please help keep our workers safe by properly recycling your household batteries at a Hazardous Waste Collection Facility.
