What to do with old clothes and textiles

– Donate wearable clothing to a local charity. Donate blankets and towels to a local animal shelter.
– Make rags from clothing that is no longer usable.
– Last option: clothing goes in the garbage.
Remember that clothes and textiles do not go in your recycling cart. They can get tangled in recycling equipment posing a danger to workers in the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). Please help us keep MRF employees safe and do not put these items in your recycling bin.
