Dispose of Sharps by Mail

Simply complete an online form to request a pre-paid, pre-addressed, mail-back package and one will be sent directly to your home. Instructions for disposal will be provided with all mail-back services. It’s a safe and convenient way to properly dispose of sharps.

Household-generated medical sharps such as hypodermic needles, lancets, and razor blades are considered bio-hazardous waste and should never be placed in trash, recycling, or organic/green waste containers. They are dangerous to workers handling the material.

There are also local Hazardous Waste drop off options available to residents at one of San Bernardino County Fire Protection District HHW Collection Facilities. To find one near you visit:
